Carolina Pad

Everyone at Carolina Pad is extremely grateful that Clay Presley, CEO and president, and Bill Nix, vice president, made it through Thursday's crash with barely a scratch. The first few moments after the crash were anxious ones for everyone at Carolina Pad. Within a five-minute window, we went from panic and worry after we heard about the crash, to jubilation when we learned that Clay and Bill were okay. Clay called in within minutes of the crash to tell us that he was being taken from the crash site on a ferry. We later heard from Bill, who was picked up by a raft. We then raced to the television to see how the other passengers were doing. It was a wonderful shock to find out that everyone on the plane had survived, wet and scared, but alive. On Friday, we got another shock when Bill and Clay both returned to the office on  Friday. Talk about a work ethic!

Kudos to a wonderful flight crew, especially to the pilot who had to make the decision of a lifetime in a matter of seconds. Thank you for bringing our guys and all the other passengers of Flight 1549 home.
